On designed to sell, they glued tile over tile on a bathroom wall. Will that lhold up?
What kind of glue did they use? It was in a shower stall.
a good adhesive will stick tile to tile..i have done it before when it is too much of a mess or too costly to remove the old tile. i assume it is just the walls and not the shower floor.. tiling over the shower floor would mean redoing the drain or adding some kind of extention for it which could possibly lead to leakage. to remove the existing tile,shower pan and rubber boot would have cost ten times what just tiling over would and i would hope they could have afforded a good adhesive to ensure good contact..
