Should I use felt or padding under basement carpet? Is it a good idea to use a tack strip in concrete?
The basement is dry and currently has no carpet.
Yes use padding and use tackstrip. The nails in the strip are short. If your installer is a pro he will use tackstrip specifically for concrete and even use liquid nails under it to help hold strip down. May do this day ahead.
