@ejdf870 It’s definitely not impossible. If it were, I don’t think it would be such a popular solution and weekend project for so many diy’rs. One trick to help solve the problem that you were having is to lock each entire length of flooring together at the short ends, AND THEN snap them together lengthwise (like a zipper). Some people simply don’t have the aptitude for projects like this. Others do, so please don’t scare people away who could probably handle this type of install with ease.

Sorry to hear you had such difficulty. This video is intended to serve as a visual guide only, complementary to any written installation instructions included with your flooring which will have more detail. What exact kind of flooring did you have? Some floors with lock systems may require tapping in the locks, which may be a possible reason for any difficulties you may have had. Keep in mind the video is animated and steps presented may appear basic compared to “real life.”

Hold it, HOLD IT!! This video just glazed over THE MOST critical and EXCRUCIATINGLY DIFFICULT part of installing this crappy type of flooring. On the 2nd piece of the 2nd row is where the nightmare begins. HOW THE do you get 2 SIDES (???????!!!!!!!) to so gracefully snap into place like that??? Never happens, my friends. This flooring is a NIGHTMARE to install. It was so bad I actually paid $113 to ship it back. I’ll NEVER do it again in my life. NOTHING beats granite.
