PLEASE HELP!!!Am I living in a contaminated home? Particle board everything?
We have been living in a 1998 manufactured home for five years now. I just learned that particle board produced fumes like toxic formaldehyde. Is this true? Are we really being exposed to this stuff. It is through out the entire house, floors, cabinets, vynal floors, walls(?). Oh my G…. Please if anyone knows about manufactured homes and this , please answer!
You live in sue happy America. If there was any danger from the stuff, lumber manufacturers would have met the class action lawsuit long ago.
You and your princesses are safe. Like the last poster said, it is long gone by now. Besides, the majority of particle board is safely contained behind drywall, insulation, and vinyl flooring.
But I have never heard of glue wood giving off formaldehyde. I have worked with the stuff for fifteen years and that’s a new one for me.
