Vinal Siding

vinal siding
What are some nice accent colors for a deep red brick house?

I am buying a modest split entry house and it requires alot of exterior cosmetics. Currently it has a deep dark red brick with the same color mortar (like a barn red) on the front exterior. The sides and back of the home are pale grey vinal siding and is a little worn and cracked. The shutters are black. The front door is white and the shingles are like a grey/taupe color. The tiny front step is grey. Talk about a mix match! I’m trying to think of some nice accent colors or how to fix this mess. I thought…..make the whole house brick barn red like the front – maybe give it some taupe contrast mortar. Give it an arched wooden door in some sort tan/brown color. Bring out a little arched canopy over the door and give it two pillar accents in a cream shade and accent the shutters in vintage style with cream shade as well…and the step in brown/cream? Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I’m not quite sure with such a dark and bland brick.

I agree with M S. You’ve made the best choice on your own.

Your ideas would make your house much more inviting and give visual order to its overall appearance.
