Germany is the country that Karndean Flooring originates from. A short time ago, we at GB Floors layed a big amount of Karndean whilstfloor fitting Surrey.Amtico Flooring is another similar range to Karndean. You are able to purchase Karndean in all sorts of differing designs, allowing you to make your room look great. It is produced from tough vinyl, and looks like a natural product, even though it doesnt have some of the problems you encounter with natural products. As it is a tile, Karndean can be fitted with any design you want for your area. As we were laying Karndean duringfloor fitting Surrey,we noted that the product had to be left for 48 hours prior to installation. As such it needs to be kept in the room it is to be installed in for this period so it adjusts to the temperature. This is done as prior to the adhesive, Karndean has the ability to grow in the heat and shrink in the cold. If Karndean is installed at the correct temperature, then it will stay correctly.You will require a latexed or plyed floor when installing these tiles – this will differ regarding your sub floor, wooden or concrete. You would then trowel out the adhesive using a notched trowel of 1.5mm. Following this you would put a chalk line on the floor to be sure that the tiles are laid straight. Next you can lay the wood plank in various ways, in a straight line, or on an angle – this could be with a border if you wanted ( the same way that we did when fitting Karndeanwhilst floor fitting Berkshire)-or wishbone. On this occasion, we are going to lay the strips in a straight line. Once you have set out your chalk line parallel with the wall, you need to decide on a starting point. Then lay the strips end to end along the line. When you reach the wall, cut the last tile neatly into the wall. Using the leftover piece of tile from the cut, start your new line which in turn gives a stagger in the tiles.There is the basis to installing Karndean Flooring.
